APSU Intercollegiate Results
The Murray State men's golf team finished 10th at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate at the Links at Novadel GC in Hopkinsville, Ky.
MSU posted scores of 278-287-290=855, ahead of 11th place Tennessee Tech (856) and 12th place Towson (861).
The Racers were led by Cameron Carrico who posted a sixth-place finish with rounds of 67-68-70-=206, while Hunter Ford placed 22nd with scores of 71-70-71=212. Patrick Newcomb carded scores of 69-73-73=215 for a spot in 39th place. Dustin Gosser was 71st with scores of 71-75-77=223, while William Hunt was 67th with rounds of 77-82-76=235.
Hunter York played the event as an individual and finished 63rd with rounds of 77-75-69=221.
Jacksonville State won the 54-hole event at 822, while Bowling Green was second at 831 and Oakland was third at 840.
Austin Peay (847), UT Martin (847), Troy (847), Eastern Illinois (849), Samford (849), Eastern Kentucky (851) and the Racers made up the top-10.
The Links at Novadel played to a par of 72 and 6,841 yards.
The Racers wrap up the fall portion of the 2010-11 season with a trip to Deland, Fla., to compete in the Stetson University Invitational at Victoria Hills GC Nov. 7-9.
