Racer Golf Begins Play At Pat Bradley Invitational

Round 1 Results
The Murray State women's golf team began play Sunday in the Pat Bradley Invitational at Pelican Preserve CC in Ft. Meyers, Fla., and stood in 13th place in the field of 15 teams after round one.
The Racers (320) were ahead of Bethune-Cookman (329) and Drake (330), and just behind 12th place Troy (315) and 11th place Oakland (314).
Murray State freshman Delaney Howson led the way for MSU with a first round 76 and had a spot in 25th place in the field of 81 competitors, while senior Caroline Lagerborg was in 41st place after a 79. Alexandra Lennartsson carded an 81 for a spot in 54th place, with Alli Weaver in 67th place after an 84. Morgan Cross had an 85 and was in 73rd place with an 85.
Western Michigan had the lead at 291, with Daytona College (293), North Texas (294), Maryland (300) and Cincinnati (304) making up the top five. South Alabama (306), Florida Gulf Coast (308), Florida International (309), Stetson (311) and Florida Atlantic made up the top-10.
The event, hosted by Florida International University is named in honor of FIU alum and LPGA Hall of Famer, Pat Bradley.
The course used for the tournament at Pelican Preserve CC is nine holes from the Heron and Egret courses and plays 6,241 yards to a par of 72.
The event finishes with 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday.
