Racers to Hold Weekend Food Drive

Racer fans have two opportunities this Saturday to help those in need and get a great deal on Murray State football and basketball tickets.
Fans attending Saturday's football game against Tennessee State at 1:00 p.m. will receive a free general admission ticket with the purchase of a ticket and donation of a food item.
Those attending the men's basketball game at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday against Reinhardt will be able to purchase a $1 general admission ticket with the donation of a food item.
In addition, the Student Athlete Advisory Committee will be holding a food drive Nov. 20 through Dec. 15 with MSU teams competing against each other for the highest average of items donated per person. Donations of food or money (to purchase eggs) can be given to athletes or dropped off at the Murray State athletic offices with Steve Harrell and specified which athletic program they want to be counted towards. The winning program will be announced at the men's basketball game on Dec. 15th.
The women's golf team took top honors in 2009, bringing in a total of 1,080 lbs of food and averaging 120 lbs per player.
