Soccer Awarded NSCAA All-Academic Team Honor

Murray State women's soccer has been awarded the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for the 2009-10 academic year.
The Racers, who posted a 3.25 team grade point average last season, have now received the Team Academic Award in four consecutive seasons.
“I am very proud of the team for maintaining such high academic standards over the last five years,” head coach Beth Acreman said. “This award is a reflection of the hard work my players put into their studies, which is tough to do while competing in soccer at this level. It is also a tribute to the hard work of the athletic staff and faculty here at Murray State, who provide such great academic support.”
To be eligible, teams must post a grade point average of at least 3.0 during the academic year.
