Shauna Wicker Signs With Racer Soccer

Murray State women's soccer head coach Beth Acreman announced the signing of Shauna Wicker of Calloway County High School in Murray, Ky.

Wicker is a two-time All-Region-I first team pick as well as team MVP for the Calloway County in 2009 and she was also named a District-4 all-star three times.

Acreman is pleased to begin the 2010 class with the Calloway star that had four hat tricks in her senior season for the Lakers.

"Shauna is a bright local standout and is extremely athletic," Acreman said. "She will be a great addition to our team and my staff and I look forward to seeing her develop her game at the NCAA D-I level."

Wicker led the Lakers in assists in her last two seasons and was named the offensive player of the year as a senior last fall. She had five goals and six assists as a junior in 2008 and scored 20 goals with seven assists as a senior in 2009.

Wicker is also a member of the Calloway basketball team.

Her club team is West Kentucky FC.
