Game 25
Austin Peay
(14-10) (8-4 OVC)
at
Murray State
(21-3) (12-0 OVC)

RSEC
Murray, Ky.
The Murray State Racers look for a big day of basketball at the Regional Special Events Center Saturday when they host the Austin Peay Governors in a 7:30 p.m. tip on MSU Hall of Fame Day. The game finds MSU one of the hottest teams in college basketball with the nation's second-best winning streak at 12 and the 11th best home winning streak at 15.
The Racers are coming off a A 76-54 win against Tennessee State at the RSEC where MSU used a 16-5 run to start the second half to put the game out of reach. MSU enters the contest with the most balanced team they've had in years with 10 players getting at least 10 minutes on the floor per game and five players averaging in double-figure scoring. The Racers enter the contest having moved up to seventh-place in the Mid-Major Top-25 poll and they're still ranked in the upper echelon in several statistical categories. MSU is second in the country in field goal percentage (.515) and fourth in steals per game (11.0) and scoring margin (+19.0). The Racers are also chasing history as they enter the game having won their last 19 Ohio Valley Conference regular season games. They're chasing the 25-game streak that WKU had between 1965-67.

The Racers are performing at a high level on both ends of the floor. In fact, out of the 31 NCAA D-I conferences, Murray State is the only team leading their league in both scoring offense and scoring defense.
MSU senior Tony Easley enters the night having just surpassed the 800-mark in career points. He already surpassed the 500-career mark in rebounding and has 538. Easley is having a rare season when it comes to blocking shots. Consider that he entered his final season at MSU with 63 career blocks and starts the APSU game with the same. Easley set another career high last Jan. 30 with seven rejections against UT Martin and now has a chance to set the MSU all-time single season record held by Pearson Griffin with 79 in the 2005-06 season. Tony's 127 blocks has him up to third place on the MSU all-time list.
MSU's 2010 class of the Murray State Hall of Fame will be honored before the game. The group includes coach Steve Newton, Jenny Daag (golf), Don HeIne (football), Stephanie Saleem (track) and basketball star Marcus Brown. His No. 5 jersey will be retired at halftime.
