Women's Tennis Falls to Ole Miss in First Indoor Match

The Murray State women's tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 18 Ole Miss Saturday afternoon at the Gillom Sports Center.
In singles action senior, Lyndsay Ottosen was able to pick up a win on her first set, 7-6, unfortunately, she was unable to keep her lead and fell 6-4 and 10-3 in her next two sets.
Cassidy Cunitz also won her first set, 6-3, but was unable to keep her momentum going and lost the next two, 6-1, 6-0.
Angela McGahee came out strong in her first set with a close loss of 7-6, however she went 0-6 in her second set.
In doubles play Lindsey Wiseman and McGahee lost 8-5 against Ole Miss' Kristi Boxx and Karen Nijssen. Cunitz and Ottosen went up against Gabby Rangel and Connor Vogel, but came up short with an 8-4 loss.
The Racers will compete again Feb. 13 at 12:00 pm against SIU-Edwardsville at Kenlake.
