Racer Women's Golf Hosts MSU Spring Invitational

The Murray State women's golf season gets underway Monday at the MSU Spring Invitational at Miller Memorial GC in Murray, Ky.

The Racers will play host to with 18 holes of play Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.

Teams in the field include fellow Ohio Valley Conference member Austin Peay and also the likes of Western Kentucky, Lipscomb and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

The Racers will play in four tournaments this spring, prior to the conference championship April 22-24 at Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tenn.

MSU looks to win back-to-back OVC titles for the first time since 2003-2004.

The Racers have their work cut out for them, being picked third in the preseason by the league head coaches.

Murray State won its seventh OVC crown a season ago at Crooked Creek GC in London, Ky.
