Racers Conduct Second Practice

Cold temperatures and light rain couldn't damper the spirits as Murray State conducted its second practice in helmets Saturday afternoon at Roy Stewart Stadium. The team returns to the field tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

On Saturday's practice
“Overall, I thought we got a little better than we were the day before. We are figuring out where to go and the tempo that we want to practice. But overall it was a good second day in shorts, and tomorrow we put on shoulder pads and we will find out a little bit more about our team.”
On Improvements from Friday
“We are starting to learn what to do. The more we are out here, the more we will figure out. Our execution will be a little bit crisper by doing that. Overall, we have had a good attitude and I have been real pleased with them.”
On team's energy during practice
“It's been really good. We have had great intensity and our guys have a really want-to attitude. They are excited to be playing football and that is always a good sign.”
