Carrico Earns Pepsi Athlete Of the Week Honor

Cameron Carrico of Murray State men's golf is the Pepsi Athlete of the Week for the period of April 5-11.
Carrico, who was also the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, helped the Racers win the championship of the UK Bluegrass Invitational Sunday in Lexington, Ky.
A junior from Owensboro, Ky., Carrico had rounds of 70-66-73 to finish at 209 (-4) in third place overall (out of a field of 128 competitors), three strokes behind the individual medalist.
The Racers finished one stroke ahead of Auburn and Memphis for the title at Kentucky and their second straight win.
The OVC Golfer of the Week honor is Carrico's third of the year; his 72.8 stroke average is currently tied for third in the OVC.
MSU's focus is now on the OVC Tournament which is April 26-28 at Greystone GC in Dickson, Tenn.
