Four Hour Game
Murray State played one of its longer gmes in the game against Evansville on April 13 as the contest lasted four hours and four minutes. It was the longest game for the Breds since MSU and Southeast Missouri played a four hour and eight minute game on March 25, 2005.
Noonan Ties Triples Record
Junior Zach Noonan put his name in the record books as he became the 12th player to record two triples in the game against Evansville April 13. He narrowly missed putting his name in the record booksin a different way as his second triple landed on top of the wall and fell back into play. Had it rolled over the fence, he would have become the second player to hit for the cycle this season.
Frey Becomes All-Time Hit Leader
After tying the school record by being hit by his 32nd pitch in his 125th game, Elliot Frey now stands alone at the top of the record books after being hit by his 33rd pitch at Evansville on April 14. Frey also holds the single-season record after being hit by 16 pitches during his freshman season.
McDonald Wins 150
Head Coach Rob McDonald won his 150th game at Murray State in Saturday's 9-3 victory over Jacksonville State. McDonald ranks third on MSU's all-time wins list behind the legendary Johnny Reagan (776) and Mike Thieke (231).
