Cunningham Sets Career Triples Mark
Senior Wes Cunningham put his name atop the record books when he recorded his 12th career triple in the first game against Eastern Illinois. Cunningham is now tied with Jack Perconte (1973-76) for the all-time mark.
Total Bases Mark Set Again
First baseman Wes Cunningham set a new school record in 2009 whne he registered 134 total bases. That record lasted only 39 games, as the senior recorded 134 total bases in the first 39 games of 2010.
Two With Double Digit Home Runs
Seniors Wes Cunningham (14) and Bryan Propst (10) have teamed up to become the second set of teammates to reach double digit home runs in as many years. Last season, Daniel Hill (16) and Cunningham (11) became the first duo since 1999 to reach double figures.
Midweek Road Games
The April 13 game against Evansville marked the final midweek home game for the Breds. MSU plays it's final six midweek games away from home. MSU plays five “true” road games before playing Kentucky in a neutral site game at Brooks Stadium May 18.
