NCAA Men's Golf - Racers Get Notre Dame Regional

The Murray State Racers learned Monday they've been assigned to the NCAA Men's Golf Championship Notre Dame Regional in Notre Dame, Ind., May 20-22.
The Racers will play a practice round Tuesday, May 19 and begin the 54-hole event May 20.
There are 81 teams competing at six region sites with the top-5 teams and the top individual not on those teams advancing from each region to the finals June 1-6, at The Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn.
The Racers are seeded 12th of 14 teams in the Notre Dame region and are set to play with No. 10 Indiana and No. 11 Virginia Tech during the first round.
Stanford is the No. 1 seed, followed by Florida, Florida State, Duke, LSU, NC State, Iowa, Michigan and Northwestern in the top nine teams. Detroit is the No. 13 seed, while St. Francis is the No. 14 seed.

Two days before the Racers play their practice round, a USGA U.S. Men's Open Qualifier will be staged and the course will also host a USGA Women's Pub-Links Amateur qualifier May 26.
