Three Breds Named to OVC All-Tournament Team

After making a great run through the loser's bracket of the 2010 Ohio Valley Conference Tournament, Wes Cunningham, Alex Love and Bryan Propst were selected to the 13-member All-Tournament team.
Cunningham, who was the 2010 OVC Player of the Year, finished the tournament by going 7-for-21 (.333) with two doubles, two home runs, nine RBIs and eight runs scored. In the victory over Southeast Missouri, Cunningham hit a mammoth three-run homer to right field in the 10th inning to secure the victory. He followed that up by going 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs in the victory over Eastern Kentucky. Against Eastern Illinois, Cunningham went 3-for-5 with an RBI double in the first inning and an opposite-field solo home run. He closed out the tournament with a sacrifice fly against Tennessee Tech for his 86th RBI of the season, breaking the single-season OVC record.
Love was a true bulldog on the mound as he went 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA in his two appearances. He entered the game against SEMO in the fifth inning and allowed just one run on two hits over the final five innings. Less that 24 hours later, Love got the start against Eastern Illinois and threw a complete game, allowing three earned runs and striking out three over nine innings. More impressively, Love returned to the mound in the ninth after a five hour and 17 minute weather delay.
Propst put together one of the finest OVC Tournament's in history as he went 13-for-22 (.591) with six doubles, a home run and 11 RBIs. He began the week by going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs in the loss to EKU. He came back in the next game and went 4-for-5 with three doubles and three RBIs. In the next game against EKU, Propst went 2-for-5 with an RBI and followed it up with a 4-for-5 performance against EIU that included a double and three RBIs. In the final game, Propst hit a solo home run to left center. His six doubles for the tournament set a new neutral-site tournament record.
The Breds finished the 2010 season 28-28-1 overall, and a 12-8-1 mark in the OVC.
