Racers Finish At Kentucky State Amateur

Murray State golf was represented at the 2010 AT&T Kentucky State Amateur Championship at Gibson Bay GC in Richmond, Ky.

Two current Racers made the cut and played in the final round of the 54-hole event.

William Hunt (Paducah, Ky.) placed 54^th with scores of 74-76-72=222, while Travis Thompson (Benton, Ky.), an incoming freshman, was 71^st after rounds of 71-77-77=225.

MSU's best finishers came from three former student-athletes.

Mitchell Moore (Hopkinsville, Ky.) and Josh Rhodes (Paducah, Ky.) shared a piece of 11^th place in the field of 78 players that made the 36-hole cut. Moore had scores of 68-73-71=212, while Rhodes carded scores of 71-71-70=212.

Current MSU player Hunter Ford and former player Chris Griffin competed in the first two rounds but missed the cut.
