Quiner Posts 16th Place At USA Shooting Nationals

Murray State rifle student-athlete Emily Quiner (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) posted a 16th place finish in the 10m air rifle competition with a 776 (Out of a possible 800), while Ashley Rose (Eubank, Ky.) carded a 773 for a 20th place showing and Caroline Barber (Lincoln, Neb.) had a 765.
"This was Caroline's first time to shoot the championships and the experience will be valuable in the future,” Lollar said. "All three of our Racers are competing well at the national event.”
The week long competition attracts shooters from all over the world.
The 2010 USA Shooting National Championships (USASNC) for Rifle and Pistol started Saturday and run through Sunday.
The competition features Olympic disciplines including Free Pistol, Men's 10m Air Pistol, Rapid Fire Pistol, Women's 10m Air Pistol, Women's 25m Sport Pistol, Men's and Women's Three Position Rifle, Men's Prone, and Men's and Women's Air Rifle.
