Murray State Athletics announced the addition of women's soccer to the lineup of live video streaming of MSU home games when Racer Soccer plays their home opener at Cutchin Field Friday at 2 p.m. in the Racer Classic.
The game between the Racers and South Florida and all of MSU's home games and Ohio Valley Conference games, will be streamed live through OVCSports.tv.
“We've been streaming Racer football and basketball for a few years and working toward streaming more sports, so this is exciting to be able to add soccer and volleyball to the lineup,” MSU Director of Athletics Allen Ward said. “This will enhance our soccer program and make it more visible. We plan to have more sports streamed in the future.”
“Being able to have streaming video of our home matches is big for our program,” MSU Head Coach Beth Acreman said. “We have student-athletes from all over the world at Murray State, and that is true of our soccer program too. For our kids from far away or even here in the states, it will be nice for their families and MSU fans in general to be able to see the games.”
MSU's Sunday 2 p.m. game with Alabama A&M will be the second live streaming event.
Other MSU non-OVC games scheduled for live video include IPFW (Sep. 10), Louisiana Tech (Sep. 17) and Western Michigan (Sep. 19). MSU's games in the OVC against Austin Peay (Oct. 1), Jacksonville State (Oct. 3), Tennessee Tech (Oct. 10) and Southeast Missouri (Oct. 22) will also be carried live. All of MSU's road OVC games will also be carried on OVCSports.tv. Those games include Eastern Kentucky (Sep. 24), Morehead State (Sep. 26), UT Martin (Oct. 17) and Eastern Illinois (Oct. 24). All games of the OVC Tournament (Nov. 4-7) will also be carried live.
Work is currently being completed at Racer Arena that will allow for video streaming of MSU Volleyball this season.
OVCSports.tv offers live games from all league members and special events including football and basketball media days. The site also shows press conferences, on-demand features and highlight packages as well as OVC Championship games.
Fans wishing to watch the live video can purchase an all-access pass by month, year or for single games.
The price to view a single game is $5.95, while the monthly fee is $29.95 and the yearly package is $99.95. The monthly and yearly package allows for viewing of every event on OVCSports.tv.
