Racer Basketball Reunion A Success - Plans for 2012 Being Made

Murray State men's basketball alumni gathered Saturday (Jan. 22) for a special day of remembrance of their days of wearing the MSU blue and gold featuring many former coaches, players and team managers.
Murray State men's basketball alumni gathered Saturday (Jan. 22) for a special day of remembrance of their days of wearing the MSU blue and gold featuring many former coaches, players and team managers.
The group first enjoyed a lunch at the Murray Room in the CFSB Center and heard remarks by Head Coach Billy Kennedy and watched a special video of past highlights of Racer greats.
The alumni toured the basketball locker room and weight room at the CFSB Center and heard from MSU Director of Athletic Allen Ward about the practice facility that is being planned to be added to the arena. The current Racer players met the alumni group at the afternoon shoot-around as well.
All of the attending alumni were recognized at half time of the game between the Racers and Southeast Missouri.
Plans are being made to make the gathering an annual event
MSU Athletics wants to hear from those who have been associated with the program.
