Hargreaves Earns Second Straight OVC Defensive Honor

Murray State senior defender Sophie Hargreaves was named adidas OVC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, the conference announced Tuesday.
Hargreaves picked up her third game-winning goal of the season Sunday afternoon, leading the Racers to a 1-0 win at Eastern Kentucky. Her 74th minute goal scored off of a redirected free kick was her fourth of the season.
She has helped lead MSU to shutouts in four of the last five matches as she has transitioned into more of a defensive role over the second half of the season.
She won defensive OVC accolades last week for scoring in the Racers 3-0 win against Eastern Illinois.
