Biscuits and Navy Take World Series With Sunday Doubleheader Sweep

Biscuits and Navy rallied from an 0-2 deficit to defeat 24 Karat Gold in the Fall World Series. Navy used a doubleheader sweep on Sunday to take the series, winning by scores of 9-6 and 8-4. It marked the first time since 1959 that a team has come back from an 0-2 hole to win the series.
Catcher Jacob Rhodes paced the offense for Navy in the opener as he collected three hits and drove in three runs. Wes Warren added a pair of hits and two RBIs in the victory.
Bryan Babin got the start on the mound and earned the victory. Tyler Saltsman closed out the victory.
Dylan Wheeler had a pair of hits and two RBIs for Gold, while Travis Isaak added three hits and an RBI.
In the second game, Nick Paradossi, Brandon Eggenschwiler, Cody Larson and Corey Bays each collected a pair of hits, and combined to drive in five runs in the 8-4 victory. Kyle Cornett earned the victory in relief, while Dan Robinson threw two shutout innings to earn the save.
Wheeler again led the Gold offense with a pair of hits and an RBI.
