Soccer Competes At Western Kentucky 7 v 7

Murray State soccer recently competed at the Western Kentucky 7 v. 7 Indoor Tournament, joining Belmont, Bellarmine, Austin Peay, Lindsey Wilson and host Western Kentucky.
The Racers collected win over eventual tournament champions Belmont and Lindsey Wilson before dropping a 1-0 decision against the Hilltoppers to miss advancing to the semi-finals. Sophie Hargreaves led MSU in goals and Jenelle Cunningham was the Racers best defender of the weekend.
"We scored some great goals this weekend and I saw positive improvements in each player," head coach Beth Acreman. "We still need to work on our consistency in important situations and this will come with experience. We will be working hard for the rest of the spring to help build our confidence and we are looking forward to our next spring competition at UT Martin".
