Carrico Named OVC Golfer Of The Week

Murray State senior Cameron Carrico earned Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors as announced by the league office.

Carrico (Owensboro, Ky.) won the award based on his stellar play Monday and Tuesday at the Samford Intercollegiate at Limestone Springs GC in Birmingham, Ala.

He started the 36-hole event with an even par 72 and finished with a 2-under par 70 to finish sixth place in the field of 93 competitors at 72-70=142.

Carrico and the Racers' next event is the Grover Page Classic at Jackson CC in Jackson, Tenn., March 14-15.
