Racers Take Third At EKU Event - Cross Finishes Fourth

The Racers, who had the lead after a first round 295, scored a 307 and a 302 to finish at 904, which was one shot behind second place Arkansas State (903) and three off winner Morehead State (901).
MSU's Morgan Cross placed fourth with scores of 70-77-77=224, while Alexandra Lennartsson and Alli Weaver shared ninth place. Lennartson had rounds of 74-81-72=227, while Weaver carded scores of 75-76-76=227. Caroline Lagerborg placed 19th with scores of 76-79-77=232. Delaney Howson had scores of 78-75-82=235 and finished 27th in the field of 77 players.
Alexandra Hinteregger played the event as an individual and placed 57th with scores of 88-77-81=246.
Toledo placed fourth at 910, while Ohio (934), Eastern Kentucky (935), Austin Peay (938), Bowling Green (944), Southern Illinois (948), EKU White (957), Tennessee Tech (964), Marshall (979) and Tennessee State (976)
Morehead State's Emma Johnson was the medalist at 220.
The Arlington GC played to a par of 72 and 5,801 yards.
The EKU event served as a final tune-up for the Racers who will try for their third straight Ohio Valley Conference Tournament April 21-23 in Dickson, Tenn., at Greystone GC.
