His splendid senior campaign continued at the Arkansas State Red Wolf Classic held at the Ridge Point Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark., when he carded rounds of 72-65=137 (7-under par). Carrico took second place, only two strokes off the lead in a field of 104 competitors.
His play helped Murray State to a seventh place finish out of 18 teams.
Carrico has five top-five finishes and two wins this year and currently leads the OVC and is ranked eighth in NCAA D-I with a 71.1 scoring average. He is ranked second in the nation in par-4 scoring at 3.96.
Under Carrico's play, the Racers are ranked eighth in Region-C in scoring at 291.1.
Carrico and MSU now prepares for the OVC Championship, April 25-27, at Greystone GC in Dickson, Tenn., where they won the title in 2010.
Murray State senior Cameron Carrico earned his fourth Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honor of the 2010-11 season as announced by the league office.
Carrico, a senior from Owensboro, Ky., has won all four of the OVC weekly awards in the last six weeks.
