Soccer Announces 2011 Schedule

Murray State will play seven of its 17 regular season matches at home during the 2011 regular season as head coach Beth Acreman has announced the upcoming fall schedule.
The Racers open the season on the road in Bowling Green, Ky., Ausust 19 & 21 with a pair of games against Western Carolina and Ball State. The home opener takes place Aug. 27 as MSU welcomes Bellarmine to Murray.
A week later, the Racers hit the road once again, traveling to Tampa, Fla, for a pair of games at South Florida September 2 & 4. College of Charleston is up first with a match against host USF to close out the weekend.
They return home shortly for a lone game Sept. 9 against Indiana State before hitting the road for a single contest two days later at Arkansas State.
Following a weekend off, the Racers open OVC play Sept. 23 against UT Martin and Sept. 25 against Southeast Missouri. A week later, they close out the three game homestand against Austin Peay.
Hitting the road, Murray State plays its last non-conference match of the season at Alabama A&M Oct. 9. They remain away from home for conference contests the next week against Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State.
The home portion of the schedule comes to a close Oct 21 & 23, as the Racers host Eastern Illinois and SIU Edwardsville for senior day at Cutchin Field. The regular season concludes the following week as the Racers travel to Morehead State and Eastern Kentucky.
