Sophie Olley Signs With Murray State Golf

Murray State women's golf coach Velvet Milkman announced the signing of Sophie Olley of Leeds, England.
Olley, who will be a freshman in the fall for the Racers, played for the Yorkshire County junior team and was junior captain of the Headingley Golf Club. She was the champion of the Jubilee Bowl with scores of 73-75=148. She also won the district championship with a score of 74.
"I am very excited to have Sophie join our Racer Golf family,” Milkman said. “She is a good playerjust starting to come into her own. She's a good ball-striker with great potential. I look forward to watching her develop over the next four years. She is an excellent addition to our program and I expect good things from her both on the golf course and in the classroom."
