Alli Weaver In 46th Place At USGA Pub-Links Championship

Murray State golfer Alli Weaver started her run at the USGA Public Links Championship with a first round 80 at Bandon Dunes Resort in Bandon, Ore.
Weaver, who will be a junior in the fall with the Racers, was 9-over par on the Old Macdonald course and in 46th place in a field of 155 competitors.
Her second round of stroke play begins today at 10:20 a.m. central time and if she can finish in the top-64 players, Weaver will advance to the match play portion of this national championship that celebrates the best players from public golf courses.
Weaver, from Lititz, Pa., played in constant light rain Monday in her opening round and was solid most of the day in posting nine pars and one birdie.
