Racers Men's Golf Open 2011-12 Season at Wasioto Winds

Round 2 Results
The Murray State men's golf team had a spot in ninth place after two rounds of the Wasioto Winds Fall Kick-Off in Pineville, Ky.
The Racers had rounds of 305-293=597 and were just behind ninth place Tennessee Tech at 594.
Patrick Newcomb led MSU with scores of 76-69=145 and had a spot in 14th place in the field of 75 players. Hunter York was in 26th place after rounds of 78-70=148. Dustin Gosser was in 43rd place with rounds of 77-74=151, while Wade Thompson had scores of 74-79=153 for a spot in 53rd place. William Hunt was in 68th place after scores of 78-81=159.
Northern Kentucky was the 36-hole leader at 567, with Southern Illinois (569), UT Martin (575), Eastern Illinois (580) and the host Morehead State (581) making up the top-5 squads.
The Wasioto Winds course is playing to a par of 72 and 6,656 yards.
The final 18 holes of the event will be played Tuesday morning.
