Racers In Fourth Place, Lennartsson Seventh At APSU Intercollegiate

The Murray State women's golf team fired a first round 317 to get a share of Fourth place in the Austin Peay Intercollegiate at Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn.
Alexandra Lennartsson led the way for MSU with an opening 4-over-par 76 which was good for a spot in seventh place in a field of 62 players, while Delaney Howson was in 16th place after carding a 79. Sophie Hillier's 80 earned 23rd place, with Alli Weaver shooting an 82 for a spot in 36th place and Abbie Stamper placing 42nd after an 82.
MSU shared fourth place with SIU each at 317 behind third place APSU at 316, with Morehead State at 309 in second place behind leader Jacksonville State at 301. SIUE (319), Belmont (324), Lipscomb (329), Tennessee Tech (329) and IPFW (331) rounded out the rest of the 10-team field.
Murray State's Gina Nuzzo and Ashlyn Bechtold are playing the event as individuals. Nuzzo was in 51st place after an 86, while Bechtold was in 58th place with an 88.
The 54-hole event was schedule for the finish of round two late Monday with the final round coming Tuesday morning.
