Lennartsson Places Second At APSU Intercollegiate

Alexandra Lennartsson posted a second place finish in a field of 62 competitors at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate at Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn.
The Racer senior from Nykoping, Sweden, fired rounds of 76-72=146 and led MSU to a fourth place showing at the APSU event.
MSU's Alli Weaver and Sophie Hillier shared 20th place for MSU as Weaver posted rounds of 82-78=160 and Hillier 80-80=160. Delaney Howson was 25th with rounds of 79-83=162, while Abbi Stamper placed 42nd with scores of 84-84=168.
The Racers came home with scores of 317-313=630 behind third place Southern Illinois (627), second place Morehead State (615) and winner Jacksonville State (600). Austin Peay placed fifth at 638 with Belmont (650), Lipscomb (650), SIUE (652), Tennessee Tech (655) and IPFW (675) rounding out the rest of the field.
Murray State's Gina Nuzzo and Ashlyn Bechtold are playing the event as individuals. Nuzzo was in 56st place after scores of 86-88=174, while Bechtold was in 58th place with scores of 88-88=176.
The Racers are back in action at the Middle Tennessee Invitational (Oct. 22-23) at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
