Lennartsson In Seventh Place At Blue Raider Invitational

The Murray State women's golf team had a spot in eighth place after two rounds of the 54-hole Blue Raider Invitational at Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The Racers posted a 305 in the first round and shared eighth place with Western Kentucky and Troy and were just behind seventh place South Alabama at 303 and Southern Mississippi at 302.
Alexandra Lennartsson led MSU with a spot in seventh place in the field of 93 competitors with a 2-over-par 74, while Sophie Hillier was in 34th place with a 76. Alli Weaver had a 77 for spot in 44th place with Delaney Howson and Abbi Stamper sharing 52nd place each with 78.
Arkansas-Little Rock and Southern Illinois shared the lead at 298, while host Middle Tennessee and Jacksonville State shared third place at 299. Lamar was in fifth place at 301. The Racers ranked ahead of 11th place UTEP (306), UMKC (306), Morehead State (307), Oral Roberts (309) and Belmont (313). The rest of the 18-team field was rounded out by Tennessee Tech (318), Austin Peay (322) and Northern Iowa (328).
Lennartsson was two shots behind leader Cassie Rushing of SIU who had an even-par 72.
