Racers Travel to Ole Miss on Friday

The eighth-ranked Murray State rifle team travels to Oxford, Miss., for a matchup with the No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels in a Friday match.

Ole Miss is opening its season today at Memphis at the Tiger Invitational. The Racers are 1-0 on the season and are coming off a 4625 to 4576 and 4571 victory over UT Martin and Columbus State, respectively. The Racers were led by Bill Harvey's score of 576 in smallbore and Kelsey Emme's 592 in air rifle last weekend.

Friday's match also includes the 14^th-ranked Memphis Tigers. Memphis opened its season last weekend with the Tiger Open. Murray State placed third out of 14 teams at last season's Ole Miss Invite, finishing behind Nevada and OVC opponent Jacksonville State.

This weekend's match begins a three-match road trip for the Racers before they return home on Oct. 27 to face Mississippi again and Jacksonville State.
