Construction Continues On Softball Field; Lights Installed

Construction continues on the new on-campus softball facility, as lights have been installed on the field. Five total light poles have been installed; extending the use of the new facility beyond just the hours when the sun is shining
Irrigation has also been installed in the field in preparation for field maintenance when the project is complete. Bermuda sod is also being grown at a local farm in preparation to be installed, once the majority of construction is complete.
The next step in the project is the building of the home and away dugouts. The entire project is on track to be completed in time for the Racers' first home game of the season on March 16, an OVC west doubleheader with Southeast Missouri.
