Love Named adidas OVC Track Athlete of the Week

Junior Alexis Love started the outdoor track & field season just as she ended the indoor season and has been rewarded with the first adidas Ohio Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week for the outdoor season (March 27).
Love finished first in the 100 at the Shamrock Invitational (March 17). The Palmetto, Fla., native was the top runner of 117 participants in the event, with a career-best time of 11.65 in the prelims and then 11.42 in the finals. Her time currently ranks her second on the national list and first in the OVC for the 100.
The Racers will return to the track this weekend when they travel to Oxford, Miss., to participate in the Ole Miss Invitational (March 31).
