Racer Golf Leads TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate - William Hunt Second

The Murray State Racers men's golf team had a spot in first place and posted five players under par after 36 holes at the Big Blue Invitational at Hermitage Country Club in Nashville, Tenn.
The Racers carded rounds of 281-282=563 and were 13-under-par in a field of 10 teams at the event hosted by Tennessee State. MSU led second place Tennessee Tech (569) by six shots.
Senior William Hunt led MSU with a spot in 2nd place with scores of 69=70 for a 5-under-par score of 139. Patrick Newcomb and Hunter York shared 4th place at 2-under-par 142. Newcomb had scores of 73-69, while York carded rounds of 71-71. MSU's Tyler Brown and Dustin Gosser shared 8th place each at 1-under at 143. Brown had scores of 70-73, while Gosser turned in scores of 71-72.
IPFW (577), Southern Illinois (580) and UT Martin (581) made up the top-5. North Dakota (582), Eastern Illinois (585), Morehead State (585), Tennessee State (588) and Trevecca Nazarene (593).
The Hermitage course is playing to a length of 6,800 yards and to a par of 72.
The final round of the event will feature a shotgun start Tuesday at 8 a.m.
