Racers Place Three On All-OVC Women's Golf First Team

The Murray State women's golf team saw three student-athletes earn All-Ohio Valley Conference First Team honors Sunday evening during the awards dinner at the OVC Championship in Dickson, Tenn., at Greystone Golf Club.
In addition to the three first team selections, MSU's Sophie Olley was named to the OVC Newcomer Team.
Morgan Cross (Sr., Elizabethtown, Ky.), Delaney Howson (So., Newmarket, Ontario) and Alexandra Lennartsson (Jr., Nykoping, Sweden) made it a trio of Racers on the first team. Cross was on the All-OVC Newcomer team in 2009 and second team in 2010. Howson was the OVC Freshman of the Year last season and on the newcomer team, while Lennartsson makes all-OVC for the first time at MSU.
MSU has never had three players on the first team since a first and second team was first named in 2005.
The last time MSU had three named All-OVC was in 1999 when Jenny Daag, Jessica Widman and Megan Rees. It also happened for the Racers in 1998 when Daag, Widman and Brandi Stevenson were named to the team. These three instances are also the only time this has happened in the history of OVC Women's Golf.
