Becker Named OVC adidas Player of the Week

Murray State softball's Alexa Becker has been named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week for April 16 - 22, the conference office announced Monday.
Becker had a phenominal week at the plate, driving in 11 runs, scoring five times and homering twice while batting .417 as she helped the Racers pick up three wins in four games.
The Breese, Ill., native homered in her first at-bat against Campbellsville, connecting on a three-run home run to put the Racers up 5-0 in the first inning.
The MSU starting short stop would drive in four runs in the Racers second game of the weekend against Austin Peay as she collected three hits and a walk to reach base safely in all four plate appearances.
Becker drove in four more in the second game of the day Sunday afternoon, homering again in the first inning to score three and give the Racers an early 3-0 lead.
She is the second consecutive softball player to receive Player of the Week accolades, as Chelsey Sullivan was selected Pitcher of the Week last week.
