Sullivan Named OVC Pitcher of the Week

Murray State senior pitcher Chelsey Sullivan was named Ohio Valley Conference pitcher of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Sullivan tossted back-to-back shutouts last week for the Racers in both of her starts, picking up wins against SIU Edwardsville and Tennessee Tech.
The Shelbyville, Ill., native gave up just three hits and a walk as the Racers defeated SIU Edwardsville 11-0 in five innings. She struck out a pair in the abbreviated win.
She came back in the second of three games against the Golden Eagles Friday afternoon to hand them their second 1-0 defeat of the day. Sullivan limited TTU to five hits while walking none as she struck out six batters in seven innings.
She allowed just one earned run in 2.1 innings of relief in the Racers final game of the weekend against Tennessee Tech. She ended the week with a 0.48 ERA in 14.2 innings, giving up 13 hits and one walk with 11 strikeouts.
