Racers Finish On Upward Swing At Ole Miss Intercollegiate

The Murray State women's golf squad posted their best score at the Ole Miss Intercollegiate in Sunday's final round when they carded a 309 at the University Club in Oxford, Miss.
The three-day event featured the deepest field the Racers have faced this season and proved a tough challenge as MSU prepares for the Ohio Valley Conference Championship (April 22-24) at GreyStone GC in Dickson, Tenn.
The Racers put together scores of 312-312-309-933 to finish 14th ahead of Rollins (940) and just behind Southern Mississippi (927).
Allie Weaver fired rounds of 77-76-79=228 for a spot in 48th place, while Alexandra Lennartsson finished 54th with scores of 79-79-75=233. Morgan Cross placed 76th with rounds of 81-80-79=240, with Gina Nuzzo coming home in 87th place with scores of 84-86-84-254.
Sophie Olley placed 79th as an individual with scores of 79-80-83=242.
Baylor (871) won the 54-hole event ahead of runner-up Tulsa (879) and the rest of the top-10 that included: Mississippi (881), Missouri (896), Minnesota (899), Mississippi State (902), Maryland (907), Redlands (908), Kansas State (908) and Harvard (911).
