Isaak and Ritzheimer Named Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

Murray State senior infielder Travis Isaak and junior outfielder Paul Ritzheimer were named to the 2012 Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team, the organization announced Friday. The duo will now appear on the ballot for Academic All-America.
Isaak (Carlyle, Ill.) possess a 3.96 GPA in integrated studies. On the field, Isaak is hitting .309 with 20 doubles, one triple, six home runs, 39 RBIs and 38 runs scored. He ranks among the national leaders in doubles, and is just one double shy of tieing the school record for doubles in a season. On two different occasions this season, Isaak has homered in back-to-back games.
Ritzheimer (Trenton, Ill.) has a 4.00 GPA in geoscience, and is the 2011 winner of the Ohio Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Award, the highest academic honor awarded by the league. As the starting center fielder, Ritzheimer has started 45 games and is hitting .308 with 14 doubles, one triple, one home run, 21 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
