Racers Women's Golf Competes At Home & In Canada

Murray State golfer Delaney Howson enjoyed a fourth place finish this week at the 97th Ontario Women's Amateur played at Loyalist Country Club in Bath, Onatario.
Howson (Newmarket, Ontario) was tied for the lead after the first round and had the lead after the second round.
She finished the event in fourth place among a field of 56 who made the cut with scores of 70-72-77=219 3-over-par. A junior in the fall at MSU, Howson made all nine of her birdies for the event in the first 36 holes.
The Loyalist CC was a first time host of the event and played to a par of 72 and 6,055 yards. The Ontario Amateur was first held in 1904.
RACERS COMPETE AT KENTUCKY OPEN
Two current Racers and one former competed at the Kentucky Open at Champions Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
Incoming freshman Abbi Stamper (Frankfort, Ky.) turned in a 22nd place finish in the field of 55 competitors after she carded scores of 77-81=158. Racer sophomore Gina Nuzo (Louisville, Ky.) placed 33rd in the event with scores of 83-83=166.
Former Racer Meagan McKinney (Fisherville, Ky.) had scores of 80-78=158 and also finished in 22nd place.
Champions Trace played to a par of 72 and 6,251 yards.
