Men's Tennis Drops Opener to Louisville

The Murray State men's tennis team dropped its 2013 season opener on Friday night to 34^th-ranked Louisville 7-0 at the Bass-Ruud Tennis Center in Louisville.

Adam Taylor lost 6-4 and 6-2 at number one singles for the Racers (0-1) to Albert Wagner. Tyler Jeffers and Aleks Mitric were defeated 6-2 and 6-1, at number two and six singles, respectively. Transfer Ryan Kennedy fell 6-0, 6-2 at number three singles in his first match at MSU.

Nicholas Mitric also lost 6-0 and 6-2 at number five and Max McLean went 6-0 and 6-0 at number four singles.
The doubles team of Taylor and Kennedy lost 8-1 to Wagner and Alex Gornet. The tandem of McLean and Aleks Mitric were also defeated 8-1. Jeffers and Nicholas Mitric were defeated 8-4 at number two doubles. Louisville improves to 3-0 on the young season.

The Racers will return to action on Sunday as they will travel to Nashville to face Middle Tennessee State and will finish their three-game swing on Monday at Tennessee.
