Head coach Eddie Hunt of the Murray State University men's golf team signed three new Kentucky natives to the 2014-15 roster. Lance Davis attends Graves County High School in Mayfield, Ky., while Nick Choate hails from Trigg County High School in Cadiz, Ky. Rounding out the recruiting class is Daniel Taylor who hails from Caldwell Co. High School in Princeton, Ky.Â
"Our team this year is very young and we needed an outstanding recruiting class," said Coach Hunt. "I think this class will prove to be one of the best classes in more than 10 years."

Davis won four events including the West Kentucky Junior Golf Championship at Drake Creek in Ledbetter, Ky. (66), the Marshall Co. High School Invitational (67), the Ballard Memorial High School Invitational (69) and the Paducah Tilghman High School Invitational (69).
Davis placed seventh at the State Golf Tournament with scores of 78-69=147. His 69 was the second lowest score of the tournament where he tied with fellow signee, Nick Choate.
"I think Lance has the game to make our line-up during his freshman year," said Coach Hunt on Davis. "He has the ability to shoot low scores and win several tournaments during his high school career and I feel that will carry over through his college career."Â
