Men's Tennis drops a pair of Matches Over the Weekend

The Murray State men's tennis squad dropped a pair of matches over the weekend to a couple of quality opponents. The Racers lost 5-0 to 31st-ranked Memphis on Friday evening and were defeated by Tennessee Chattanooga on Sunday 6-1.
Against the Tigers, Tyler Jeffers and Ryan Kennedy lost to a pair of ranked opponents at number two and five singles, respectively. Kennedy was leading the second set of his match 2-1 after dropping the first set 6-3, before the match was called after Memphis had clinched the victory.
Against UT-Chattanooga, Adam Taylor had a strong match at number one singles, winning 6-4, 2-6 and 7-5. Joao Camara was leading at number three singles after winning the first set of his match 6-0 before losing the second and third sets 6-0 and 6-2.
The Racers also won at number one doubles in the loss to the Mocs. The tandem of Taylor and Ryan Kennedy won 8-7 in their doubles match.
Murray State returns home for its next match when the Racers will host Lipscomb on Feb. 22 at the Kenlake Tennis Center.
