Castile & Miller Named to Bulldog Battle Team

Sophomore outfielder Casey Castile and freshman third base Shelbey Miller have been named to the 2013 Bulldog Battle All-Tournament team, Mississippi State softball announced earlier this week.
Castile had an outstanding week, going 4-for-10 with a three runs, three RBIs, two stolen bases and a double. Her highlight came in the first game against Northwestern State when she had a double that eventually led to the 5-4 win.
Miller also had a good week as she also picked up four hits and a double. Miller's first collegiate extra base hit also came in the win over Northwestern State and she crossed the plate for the first time in her college career in the tournament opener on Friday against Western Kentucky.
Both Miller and Castile will look to help lead the Racers this weekend when they travel to Fayetteville for the Arkansas Invitational. Play for Murray State begins on Friday at 12:30 p.m. against Saint Louis and will wrap-up on Sunday at 2 p.m. with either the championship or consolation game.
