Soccer Signs 10 to Class of 2013

Murray State Head Soccer Coach Beth Acreman has announced the signing of 10 student-athletes to the 2013 class at Murray State.
Acreman has brought in five defenders, three midfielders and one forward and goalkeeper apiece in this year's class of Racers. Acreman was also able to snag half the group right here in Murray as five of the signees helped lead Murray High to back-to-back regional championships the last two seasons.
“I'm very excited about this class of student-athletes we were able to bring in,” said Acreman. “We were able to address needs and were able to get some quality young players.”
The signing class includes Mackenzie Downey (Murray), Lauren Frazier (Cadiz, Ky.), Savannah Haberman (Rineyville, Ky.), Kaitlyn Hayes (Fort Wayne, Ind.), Lindey Hunt (Murray), Danielle Oates (Hawarden, Wales), Taylor Richerson (Murray), Kelsey Smith (Evansville, Ind.), KJ Verburg (Murray) and Alyssa Wright (Murray).
“I think that each of these girls could make an impact for Murray State right away next season,” said Acreman. “We're looking forward to them all being Racers!”
