Delaney Howson finished eighth for the Murray State women's golf team at the 20th annual John Kirk/Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.
In the 54-hole event that featured some tough weather conditions, Howson carded scores of 78-81-76=235.
Other MSU scores included Alli Weaver with rounds of 80-84-82=246, while Abbi Stamper placed 43rd with scores of 85-80-83=248. Sophie Hillier had scores of 95-93-87=275 for a spot in 73rd place, while Gina Nuzzo placed 75th with scores of 94-94-95=283.
The Racers placed 14th in the event with rounds of 337-338-328.
MSU returns to the course Saturday when they take on the SIU Salukis in an 18-hole match at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
