Racer Golf Takes Dual Match With Austin Peay

The Murray State women's golf team played their final event before the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in an 18-hole match against Austin Peay on Saturday at The Links at Novadel in Hopkinsville, Ky.
The Racers came away with a four-stroke win with a score of 301 as the Lady Governors carded a 305.
Alli Weaver led the Racers with a career-best 1-under-par 71, while Delaney Howson tossed in an even-par 72. Alexandra Lennartsson added a 78, with Abbi Stamper carding an 80 and Sophie Hillier an 81.
Austin Peay was led by Tala Mumford with a 74 and Meghan Mueller with a 75. The Lady Govs other scores were Jessica Cathey at 77, Tabitha Beard at 79 and Rachel Deaton with an 83.
MSU had two individuals in the event with Gina Nuzzo scoring an 83 and Ashlyn Bechtold an 88.
Next up for the Racers is the OVC Championship at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn. (April 21-23) with the first round set for Sunday.
