The Racer men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision on Saturday afternoon in OVC action, losing to Belmont in Nashville.
The Racers dropped the doubles point, losing at number one and three doubles. The team of Adam Taylor and Ryan Kennedy lost at one 8-5. The duo of Aleks and Nicholas Mitric fell at three 8-3. The number two doubles match went unfinished after Belmont had clinched the point.
Tyler Jeffers picked up the win at number three singles for the Racers, winning 6-4 and 6-4. Joao Camara lost had number one singles in the match. Camara dropped the first set 6-1 before he retired in the second set. Taylor lost at number two 6-0 and 6-4. Kennedy rounded-out the singles matches, losing at number four 6-2 and 7-5.
Nicholas and Aleks Mitric's matches at five and six went unfinished after Belmont had clinched the team win.
The Racers look to get back on track Sunday morning as they will face Tennessee State at 10 in the morning.
