Troup & Ramsey Named to All-OVC Tournament Team

Senior Ellyn Troup and sophomore Mo Ramsey have been named to the 2013 OVC All-Tournament team, the league has announced.
The duo helped lead the Racers to a 2-2 record at the event and a second-straight third place finish. Murray State opened up with wins over UT Martin and top-seeded Eastern Illinois, while they fell to eventual winner Jacksonville State and UT Martin.
Troup went 5-for-10 on the week with two doubles, three RBIs, two walks and a stolen base. She ended the tournament with a .500 batting average, a .700 slugging percentage and a .583 on-base percentage. She tallied a hit in each of the Racers' four games and ended the season on an 11-game hit-streak.
Ramsey went 7-for-15 in the tournament, for a .467 average, with three runs, a RBI and a stolen base. She recorded to multiple hits in two separate games, going 2-for-4 in the first game against UT Martin and 3-for-4 against Jacksonville State.
The Racers ended their 2013 season at 25-28 overall. They finished fourth in the league in the regular-season and won two games at the OVC Tournament for the second year in a row.
